Fujitsu provides a variety of services and products relating
to computers. Fujitsu participates in IT consulting and integration, IT
infrastructure, and computer service and support. It offers many computer
products such as Notebooks, Tablet PCs, Servers, Storage Systems, Scanners,
Printers, and Keyboards, as well as Hard Drives, to cover for all your computer
needs. Its hard drives in particular come in Encrypted versions, providing
security and privacy for those who need it most. It protects from theft and
unauthorized access to data using the encryption techonology encryption
technology – AES-256. Fujitsu seemingly participates in more business type
computer retail than catering to the average consumer.
A product of Fujitsu that interests me is its array of
notebooks. The Lifebook series of laptops contains some very portable hardware,
with some screens being only 5'6" at smallest. Most of its computers are
defaulted with the Business Version of Windows Vista, further implying its
participation in business retail rather than to home users. The Lifebook U820
Mini has the 5'6" screen refered to earlier, and it intrigues me due to
its portability options, offering wireless broadband where ever you are in
addition to its compact size.

Sony participates in a large variety of services and
provides a massive array of products in its company. Sony offers computer
repair, drivers for your hardware, product support, and many other services on
its site. Sony is an extremely large corporation that provides products we find
everywhere in our homes, from television screens, computers, notebooks, ebooks,
mp3's, video game consoles, etc. The company Sony has spread its retail
influence globally, as it participates heavily in all sorts of electronic
retail.
A favorite product of mine that Sony produces is its Blu-ray
Players. Sony has managed to push Blu-Ray to be a widely accepted format to
place movies upon. The Blu-Ray competed against the HD-DVD format for
acceptance into the economy as the new standard, and the Blu-Ray has so far
been winning this race. I appreciate the Blu-Ray disk's extended memory
capacity, as it provides clarity as well as more storage space for all sorts of
media, even if it requires an seperate Blu-Ray player or DVD, although many
people simply purchase a PS3 for its Blu-Ray playing capabilities.
